Sincerus Renatus just posted an interesting blog entry on the Vault of the Adepts on his blog; I am quite sure that there is not a single Vault here in Denver that matches the colors of any of the Vault pictures that he shows.
I have never seen two Vaults with the same coloring either. With all the differnt colors available I don't think they really ever would be except maybe within an Order, if they had the exact color codes for Home Depot. Personally, I favored the pics of the EOGD vault as the colors were far more vivid, thus emenating a deeper vibration. The pastel colors of the HOGD Vault just didn't seem right. It would be interesting to hear the reasoning behind the changes in the EOGD Vault from the traditional diagrams. However, I'm not sure how I really feel about pics of the Vault being all over the internet anyway...some things should remain within the hermetic seal.
Well, I'm not surprised that non of the Denver Vaults look like the ones on the pictures on my essay. As I said, the exact hue very much is the result of the creative ability and experince of the artist. Blending of colours is one of the most difficult aspects of painting; it's an art and science unto itself.
Also, Order documents leave some head room to creative solutions regarding the combination of colours.

A cross between Douglas Adams, Robert Heinlein, Erma Bombeck, Sybil Leek, and Wednesday Addams, Morgan Drake Eckstein writes in multiple genres and under many pennames. A survivor of several secret societies, MDE has served as a pagan (Wicca) community church board member as well as a Golden Dawn Hierophant. Today, he is (along with his wife, Khari) a minister of Fireside Wicca Community Church in Denver, Colorado.
Among his pennames are Michael Ramalia (the New Egyptian Space Empire) . . .
