Shooting up Star Wars

As an illustration of how bad I think the current gun happy society is in the United States, consider this:

I would love to go see Star Wars: The Force Awakens during its first screening.

But I don't want to be in such a target rich environment.

Yes, I am saying that the first screening of the movie will be a mass shooter's wet dream.

All eyes on the event? Yes. Fully packed theaters? Yes. Ability to deeply scar people? Yes. Over stretched security and theater staff? Yes.

Can you imagine a better event as far as a gun toting fame seeking murderous terrorist is concerned?

Time for a quick Christmas visit Down Under, then Morgan? :) Seriously the fact I can plan and look forward to this and you have those thoughts, based on experience, is fucked :( Ask the NRA to pay for your trip here!

You're going to see a movie about a fictional space battle who's characters all carry fictional space firearms...

That's literally what advances the plot is personal sovereignty guaranteed by individual arms.

Dear Morgan,

Wierd. We simply do not have this problem in Nevada because we have open carry and liberal CCW licenses.

The problem with going to the movies in Colorado is that some rocket scientist in your state decided to make Cinemas "gun free zones."

This nonsense caused one tragedy already in Aurora.

Hey Morgan. Here is an idea. Come watch Star Wars with Leslie and I in Nevada.

There will be PLENTY of Nevadans packing CC in the cinema and no crazies will DARE try anything.. If they do, they will get no more than a round off before they are stopped dead.

Leslie began hunting with her Dad when she was 7 and is an even an even better shot than I am, despite the marksmanship contests I won in my youth.

Here is an idea to put your mind at ease.

Come watch Star Wars with us. Leslie says she will PERSONALLY guarantee your safety. I second that.

You bring the Colorado green while we vets - and other well trained Nevadans - keep you safe.
