Kid friendly Open Full Moon schedule (Walnut Hill Community Church) 2025 OFM Potluck and Pagan Wiccan Ritual Saturdays Denver Colorado 80205

Announcing three big things: Future blog updates will be on Confessions of an American Witch. There is a Child Friendly Open Full Moon Saturday in the Denver, Colorado 80205 area, being hosted by a public school teacher. Oh most importantly, it's being held at Walnut Hill Alchemy (2727 N. Cook St.); we are just north of the Denver Zoo and City Golf Course. It's residential area. As my ghost dad says, "Business in the front, living in the back." Yes, I have gone back into sin--selling herbal magick kits again.

Disguised as a normal muggle house.

Yeah, I have gone back to being a slut minister. And by that, I mean purely by accident, I read the homepage of the community church that I used to be a gang member of.

"Suggested donation: Twenty dollars. Do not inebriated."

With no indication of what the Capital Hill Open Full Moon Friday theme will be about.

I can do better. What to see better? My wife, Khari, is a public school teacher. We just brought a grape vine. On a Saturday. The fifty-eighth birthday of my ghost wife.

Yes, I have a ghost wife now. Cassandra Ravenspell. My life's complicated. New blog.

Anyways, here's the Walnut Hill Community Church Open Full Moon Saturday 2025 schedule.

Walnut Hill Open Full Moon Saturdays

2025 free to attend, kid friendly, medical marijuana minister pagan Wiccan Norse Egyptian events

We borrow from many things.

May 10 (Botanic Garden Field Trip)
June 14 (Drumming)
June 21 (Golden Dawn Outer Order/RC Inner/Justice 42/Edgar)
July 12 (Hotdogs, popsicles and pools . . . blame Khari)
August 9
September 6
October 4
November 1 (Day of the Dead . . . again Khari)
December 6 (Yule ornament . . . shop will have kits for sale)

Hosts: Walnut Hill Church

Morgan Drake Eckstein (licensed minister)

Khari Seshat Meret (school teacher/ ceramic artist)

Location: 2727 N. Cook St., Denver, Colorado 80205

We are just north of the city zoo and golf course complex in a residential area. "Walnut Hill" is the name of the housing development that our house is located in. Originally, every lot had a black walnut tree. A disease killed all of the trees . . . except we have one. Fighting on. Hence Walnut Hill This and Walnut Hill That and Walnut Hill XYZ on every company in my neighborhood.

When: Gate open at 5 pm for workers; 6 pm for the potluck; 7 pm for the main event; we close at 10 pm . . . because we are in a family neighborhood.

Kid friendly is a relative term. I might be radioactive shop owner.

Now, that we have advertised Khari's most important stuff, she wanted me to waste time on Facebook to announce that I am cohosting events with her. I believed that I have reached more people. As in horrified more mothers. Here. Than on Facebook. I think.

Because I used to blog here a lot. By blog here a lot, I mean, I used to offend some of you a lot. I could tell by the richness of the language that you used in my comment section.

Then Khari made me quit blogging, go off to college, get an education, and I accomplished nothing. Peeked in here, the other day while she out of town, learning stuff for Bearfest, being slave to the future of pagan and Wiccan children, and I was shocked to see traffic.

If only I could figure out how to turn eyeballs into dollars, but I ain't that smart.

No, I am falling back on my Retirement Plan--writing slutty science fiction.

Oh, trying to sell herbs at my wife's OFMs. "C'mon, you need mugwort. Persian catmint."

No? Sad face. How about a course called Rocky Mountain Egyptian Godforms "originally priced at $360 for a thirteen week course, cohosted by Hierophant Khari." No?

Just for that, you have to punch in Confessions of an American Witch into your favorite search engine on your own. Because you didn't throw money at Khari. I tell you that she is Second Order Golden Dawn. Not going to be Hermetic. Something Egyptian. Good times. But it's a new blog, a new voice, a new outlook; we have a grape vine.

A grape vine, named after one of Khari's students. Because during Teacher's Thanksgiving Week, his family gave Khari, a gift card that covered the cost of the grape vine. Of course, having just read the website of a church that threw me out under Safe and Sober, while celebrating of life of a dead mentor, having barely escaped Hell myself last year, secretly having a daughter (maybe), buying a grape vine set off a lot in my head.

Oh well, I picked up the blogging needle again. Just a different home.

But Facebook? Really? Nah.

I see no intention in this little vine to rule the world, do you?

No more custom pottery orders (Khari Wiccan Treasures)

Message from my wife, the potter:

So I am no longer accepting custom orders on my Etsy websites. If you already got your order in and spoke to me, you are fine.

I got swamped with orders and am working on those with about 4 weeks until teachers return to work.

Also, when I say that I am no longer accepting custom orders, this applies to individuals only. This does not include shops or wholesale, although that production will slow down significantly once I return to online classes on August 28th.

Coming soon (about two weeks) to the Wiccan Treasures Etsy shop (Morgan needs to do pictures after his next deadline).

Custom-made pet urns

As most of my readers know, my wife is a ceramic artist (a potter) who does wheel thrown pottery. One of the items that she makes are pet cremation urns. She can make ceramic pet urns with paw prints for dogs, cats, and ferrets. She does have a size limitation (basically she can't make an urn for a godzilla sized dog). The most common customization request is for the pet's name to be on the urn.

If you are interested, you can check out her Etsy shop.

Custom made Altar sets available for Wiccans and pagans (and maybe magicians)

Fans of my wife's pottery--rejoice! My wife has finally opened the door for you to order a custom made Altar set which includes a chalice, an offering bowl (plate), a cork jar (for herbs or aromatherapy), and an incense burner cauldron with a beaded copper handle and charm. By special ordering the complete set, you can have all the components match in color and style.

Colors available are white, black, cobalt blue, green, brown and purple.

(Please note that potters have a limited color palette, due to the chemistry and physics that underlie the kiln firing process. What you see in her Etsy shop is what she can do---colors outside of this limited palette are unavailable.)

You can special-order a custom made altar set over in her NEW Wiccan, pagan, magickal themed Etsy shop, Khari's Wiccan Treasures.

Chalice and offering bowl--pansy purple.
The reason for the new Etsy shop is so that she can cater more to those customers who practice Wicca, paganism, and/or magic without offending more mainstream customers. (Let's be honest--we all know that there are those people who assume that Wiccans, pagans, and magicians are Satanists and deserve to be stoned---and not in the good sense of stoned.)

And honestly, for years, I have been telling her that she has been leaving money on the table by not having a wider selection of "magickal" styled goods on Etsy.

But I also understoond her reluctance to the idea. After all, I keep some of my writing under a completely different pen-name, so not to upset some of the people who would frown on the fact that I used to write erotica.

Cauldron, offering plate (bowl), and corked herb jar--pansy purple.
Her new Etsy shop is called Khari's Wiccan Treasures.

I have also set up a Facebook fanpage for the new shop.

(And for those who are curious, her old Etsy shop is Celtic Soul Jewelery and Pottery.)

(Celtic Soul also has a Facebook fanpage.)

Chalices (underglazed)

Chalice underglazed.
Morgan here. Awhile back someone asked me if my wife made goblets. Of course, being the non-artist type, I had no idea what the difference was between a chalice and a goblet. Furthermore, at the time I could locate any pictures of the chalices that my wife makes. (I had forgotten to take pictures of the last batch that she did that ended up at Spiritways.)

Another underglazed chalice.
Today, when going out to the studio to take a picture of a coffee mug, I spotted these two chalices that have been underglazed that I believe are going into the next kiln firing, and thought that I would take a couple of quick shots just so people knew what type of chalice my wife was capable of making.

Unfortunately, I can't remember who asked me if my wife makes chalices. Hopefully, they see this post.

Studio Kitty does not remember who it was either.

Target worships Khnum (31 Days of Halloween Kitties Day 29 Year 3)

Kitty makes a cute Khnum.
If you have been on Facebook lately, you have probably seen this picture. Target is using it in one of their sponsored posts (aka an ad) about the holiday costume contest that they are running this year--"Dress up you pet and embarrass them on the internet." I really love this picture--kitty is dressed up as Khnum. I have to love that--my wife is a potter (her pottery store is represented in the sidebar gadget to the right of this post).

Celtic Soul Jewelry and Pottery sale (plus announcing international shipping)

Recent items added to the Celtic Soul Etsy shop.
My wife's jewelry and pottery business, Celtic Soul Jewelry and Pottery, is currently having a 20% off sale on all pendants (no coupon necessary) until the end of September. And tomorrow, a 20% sale on mortar and pestles begins (sale lasts until October 26th, 2013).

She has recently created some more Egyptian fridge magnets, which were just listed on Etsy over the last couple of days, along with a few more pendants.

Plus, Celtic Soul is now going to be able to ship to many more places, thanks to my wife updating her international shipping policies--which is welcome news for those who live outside of the United States and Canada.

Where clown makeup comes from

Look at all that clown makeup.
Yesterday, I was helping my wife clean out some buckets of old pottery glazes. (She was having a problem with one of the glazes, and she needs to start with a fresh batch of glaze to fix the problem.) And in the process, I learned where clown makeup comes from. Ok, maybe not--but at the moment, everything I do can end up being about clowns. (At a certain point, my current clown obsession will make sense...or not...let's just say that clowns are important in one of my writing projects at the moment. As a writer, your entire universe rotates around your latest project.) So anyways, the buckets are now clean, and my wife is good to go for mixing up of the new batches of glaze. And she promises to make no ceramic clowns unless they are cool clowns.

More magical jars available on Etsy.

Think of the magic you can do with these jars.
Another item that I was taking photos of were a new butch of small cork jars that my wife hand-throws on the potter's wheel. Personally, I use these types of jars to store incense and for spirit bottles. I know that one of the local pagans uses them for magical oils.

Now, I like this photo--my wife doesn't. It was an experiment. One of the difficulties that I have taking photos of her pottery is that the glaze is so shiny, and occasionally the camera I am using has a difficult time recording the true color of the glaze. So in this photo, I was experimenting to see if a white background would help. My wife disapproves of the picture because I used wrinkled paper. *sigh*

These corked herb jars are available on her Etsy--Celtic Soul Jewelry and Pottery page for $18 (American) apiece.

More mortar and pestles available on Etsy

Cobalt blue mortar and pestle.
The last couple of days, I have been taking pictures of pottery that my wife is putting up on her Esty--Celtic Soul Jewelry and Pottery page. Today, she posted five new mortar and pestles (various colors). My personal favorite this bunch of photos (of the mortars that is) was the cobalt blue mortar and pestle against the purple background. For those who have not heard me cuss about it, the cobalt blue glaze is really shiny and hard to take good photos of (especially if I am trying to show its actual color). This shot actually shows you its actual color, so I am very happy with the photo. This particular cobalt blue mortar and pestle is available for $19 (American)--though she did not use this photo on the sales page. (We seldom agree about the photos which should be used...but that is a post for another day, isn't it?)

So many mortar and pestles to choose from.

Four mugs still available on Etsy

Celtic Knot decorated coffee mug available on Etsy.
Yes, it is time for one of those "pimp my wife's Etsy store" posts...because her business is helping pay for the groceries.

At the moment, she currently has four mugs available on Etsy, including the Celtic Knot decorated coffee mug.

The mugs sell really quickly, so if you see one that you like--buy it now; it might not be available later.
