Custom made Altar sets available for Wiccans and pagans (and maybe magicians)

Fans of my wife's pottery--rejoice! My wife has finally opened the door for you to order a custom made Altar set which includes a chalice, an offering bowl (plate), a cork jar (for herbs or aromatherapy), and an incense burner cauldron with a beaded copper handle and charm. By special ordering the complete set, you can have all the components match in color and style.

Colors available are white, black, cobalt blue, green, brown and purple.

(Please note that potters have a limited color palette, due to the chemistry and physics that underlie the kiln firing process. What you see in her Etsy shop is what she can do---colors outside of this limited palette are unavailable.)

You can special-order a custom made altar set over in her NEW Wiccan, pagan, magickal themed Etsy shop, Khari's Wiccan Treasures.

Chalice and offering bowl--pansy purple.
The reason for the new Etsy shop is so that she can cater more to those customers who practice Wicca, paganism, and/or magic without offending more mainstream customers. (Let's be honest--we all know that there are those people who assume that Wiccans, pagans, and magicians are Satanists and deserve to be stoned---and not in the good sense of stoned.)

And honestly, for years, I have been telling her that she has been leaving money on the table by not having a wider selection of "magickal" styled goods on Etsy.

But I also understoond her reluctance to the idea. After all, I keep some of my writing under a completely different pen-name, so not to upset some of the people who would frown on the fact that I used to write erotica.

Cauldron, offering plate (bowl), and corked herb jar--pansy purple.
Her new Etsy shop is called Khari's Wiccan Treasures.

I have also set up a Facebook fanpage for the new shop.

(And for those who are curious, her old Etsy shop is Celtic Soul Jewelery and Pottery.)

(Celtic Soul also has a Facebook fanpage.)

Celtic Soul Jewelry and Pottery sale (plus announcing international shipping)

Recent items added to the Celtic Soul Etsy shop.
My wife's jewelry and pottery business, Celtic Soul Jewelry and Pottery, is currently having a 20% off sale on all pendants (no coupon necessary) until the end of September. And tomorrow, a 20% sale on mortar and pestles begins (sale lasts until October 26th, 2013).

She has recently created some more Egyptian fridge magnets, which were just listed on Etsy over the last couple of days, along with a few more pendants.

Plus, Celtic Soul is now going to be able to ship to many more places, thanks to my wife updating her international shipping policies--which is welcome news for those who live outside of the United States and Canada.

Witchy and crafty

Sabbat Wallhangings Set
One of the interesting things that I have discovered (by sitting on the sofa when my wife looks around at the pages of other Etsy artists) is that there are pagans, Wiccans and witches selling handmade craft items on Etsy. Like this set of wall hangings for the Sabbats by Every Witch Way. Makes me wonder if I could sell my hexsigns on Etsy (as if I actually have time with all the other projects on my desk, right?).

Minor business accomplishments today

Today, I finally got around to setting up a blog page for my wife's business---Celtic Soul Jewelry and Pottery. I also set up a Facebook fanpage for it. She does not need them yet, but one thing I have learned---it is better to set up your pages before you need them (it is nice when the spiders can find them). So if you are interested in following the developments, including photos of her latest work, of my wife's business, check out the new blog. Besides, setting up the new web presences, I also took about three hundred photos (about one gigabyte) today; I think maybe a dozen are usable. It was a bad lighting day. Hopefully, tomorrow is better for photography.

And now a word from our sponsor

The regular readers of my blogs will notice that I have changed the advertising layout. Adsense (AdChoices) is getting a lower space in the sidebar, and the prime plot of pixel space is being given to my primary sponsor---my wife. As most of my regular readers know she is currently branching out in making handmade ceramic jewelry pieces, which are being crafted into items for her Etsy shop---Celtic Soul Jewelry. This is also a secret advertisement for myself, for the photographs that she is using for her online shop (including this beautiful shot) are being taken by me.

Upcoming Events and a new blog to follow

Tonight, I am going to be doing the final research for Friday's Open Full Moon ritual. That and watching So You Think That You Can Dance? Yes, I watch TV; it is so sad how I chose to spend my time.

My wife is getting ready for a Psychic Fair that happening at Spiritways on Saturday, June 11th. She will be selling her jewelry---as if you didn't already know. The Psychic Fair is actually both Saturday and Sunday. 10 am to 7 pm Saturday/ Noon to 4 pm Sunday. Spiritways is located at 3301 E. Colfax, Denver Colorado.

And for those who are not aware of this yet, Tabatha Cicero is doing a new blog and has posted an entry on Westcott's Enochian Tablets. This brings up the number of blogs that I am following up to 185. Recently, Tabatha also did an article on Westcott's Enochian Tablets for Hermetic Virtue Magazine---and there will be an upcoming book on this subject (I forget who is publishing the book).

Celtic Soul Jewelry photo day

Decided to spend the day photographing pictures of the jewelry that my wife is making for her online Etsy shop: Celtic Soul Jewelry. She caught me in the right mood, and I had uploaded three articles that I wrote to internet the night before, so I decided that today was as good as a day as any to fix the bad set of photos that previously been uploaded to Etsy. How bad were they? You didn't see me give a link to them, did you? My professional standards kicked in, and you know how I get---I refuse to give links to sites that I consider eye-sores. I think the primary problem was that the lighting and backgrounds for the pieces were bad. So today, the seven pieces that she had already up on Etsy got new photos. I am still not happy with the thumbnails; I need to actually figure out the best way to do this project for that site. Nevertheless, I am much happier with the new photos. And hopefully, it was a slow news day on the internet, and I didn't miss anything of importance today. Tomorrow, I got to write a newsletter column and a blurb for the June 10th Hearthstone Community Church Open Full Moon Ritual which I am leading (hello boys and girls, it is story time). Oh, if you are curious, all three pendants seen in this photo are available in the Etsy shop: Celtic Soul Jewelry.

Errands are Work

Instead of working today, I decided to run errands with my wife for her jewelery business (I am sort-of a manager and advisor for it). It is not like I was actually going to work on any of the three projects on my desk (one which people are already worried about simply because of the working name of the project)---in fact, it I would have stayed home I would have probably decided to complain about something that boiling on the blogosphere (something I should leave alone until my own work in that area is done---no need to make enemies before I absolutely have to [the enemies are just natural outcome of the work---some people will agree; others will hold an impronto witch-burning]). So, first we went to Mile Hi Ceramics to pick up some porcelain (fifty pounds worth---I got to do the carrying), some small stilts, and a kiln brick. Then we went to Xpedx to pick up some card stock to make into jewelry cards; we also picked up some small boxes for packaging purposes. I have been to Mile Hi Ceramics before; on occasion, I have brought things there (they have small low fire goblets that just need glazing and firing). This was my first time visiting Xpedx---it was a zine publisher heaven (so many different types of paper). And because I did weigh in on a decision or three, the errand running did count as work (after all, I am sort-of the business manager for the jewelry business).

Spirit Ways 2011 Spring Celebration and Psychic Fair

As some of you may have heard, especially if you attended the Open Full Moon ritual a couple of weeks ago, my wife has started a new jewelery business and will be selling her jewelery at Spirit Ways on Saturday and Sunday during their annual Spring Celebration and Psychic Fair.

Spirit Ways is located at 3301 E. Colfax, Denver Colorado. Phone: 303.331.1070

There is also going to be four intuitive readers available (a dollar a minute for a reading): Intutive Tarot with Phebe; Sacred Table Tarot with Lula; Grand Daughter Crow; Jaguar's Blessing Shaman Healing.

David Sosa is going to be doing chair massages.

Saturday March 5, 2011---10 am to 6 pm.
Sunday March 6, 2011---noon to 4 pm.

(I will probably be there from 4 pm to 6 pm on Saturday. I have limited time to attend and hang out. I refuse to skip my online class on Saturady; we are studying the Splendor Solis at the moment, and my advanced adept advisor actually likes us to show up for the class. And I am serving as a lodge officer on Sunday---I believe that we have a Neophyte initiation scheduled.)

Celtic Soul Jewelry testfiring and jewelry pieces

My wife recently got a new small kiln for her jewelry. It is smaller than her regular pottery kiln (the bucket sitting by the kilns is a five gallon bucket). She test-fired it on Saturday. The pieces seen here (earring and pendant pieces, also a couple of pin pieces) have been fired once already. There is no way that they are going to be done before Spirit Ways Annual Spring 2011 Psychic Fair and Craft Show (this coming saturday and sunday [March 5 {10 AM to 6 PM} and March 6 {Noon to 4 PM}]. Spirit Ways in at 3301 E. Colfax, Denver Colorado. Anyways, just thought I would share some pictures of her work as this batch of pieces went though the process of being turned into jewelry.
